Project Description: The proposed project is to construct a new combined Public Safety Complex on the current site located at the corner of W Broad Street and Virlyn B Smith Road in Fairburn. Currently Police and Fire are located on separate campuses. Staffing needs have exceeded available space. Both facilities currently lack the necessary training spaces, parking, and security required. The program objectives are to combine Police and Fire into a unified campus-one that has shared, but separate space-based needs for both Police and Fire, enhance security through secured parking and Complex improvements, provide on-site training facilities, space to accommodate future increased staffing, and provide community space for public events and meetings. This proposal is to develop and design a Public Safety Complex for the City of Fairburn with at least the Following items - of the Art Police Department Headquarters. Construction of New Fire Department Headquarters Construction of a New Fire Station # 22 Fueling Station with at least Two gasoline dispensers and one diesel dispenser Provide access to property on W Broad Street and Virlyn B Smith Road Public Safety Complex and its buildings need to include Green environmental sustainability and low impact features. The proposals should provide pricing for each phase, design, and Construction. Also, estimates/allowances for any commissioning needed.
