The Town of Franzen is seeking bids for asphalt paving. The bid is for a WisDOT LRIP TRI Project. The project location is in Marathon County, Town of Franzen, at Comet Road West starting at State Hwy 49 going West for 5,970(1.13 mi) x 20' wide with pavement depth of 4" (approx: 2,112 S.Y.). Road base 24' which consists of 20' roadway and two - 2' shoulders. Approx 700' West of State Hwy 49 build up road base level to 16" max 26' wide 800' long with Geo Grid base. Scope of work: Pulverizing the existing asphalt pavement for base course. Fine grade, water and compact the base course material. Pave with 3MT58-28S lower layer and 4MT58-28S upper layer compacted to an average thickness of 4" in two lifts. Apply tack coat prior to paving the surface course. Shoulders constructed of 4" compacted granite. All work to be completed in accordance with Wisconsin DOT Standard Construction Specifications. Road must be passable for local residents during construction. Job completion by September 13, 2024 Bids can be comprised of complete project bid or several stages that complete the project.
