DESCRIPTION OF WORK The Bachelor Officer Quarters (BEQ) is an unaccompanied housing facility. This renovation is required to provide Bachelor Officer Quarters (BEQ) interior improvements for our Navy sailors at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach. This project will focus on improvements to Buildings 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32. Buildings 28, 29, 30 and 31 are single story facilities with the same 3,155 square foot floor plan with two (2) areas (duplex). BEQ Buildings 28, 29, 30 and 31 are partitioned to function as a duplex. Each Unaccompanied Housing (UH) suite provides four (4) Sleeping Rooms, four (4) Bathrooms with shower, and one (1) common Lounge area. Building 32 is a standalone UH suite. This is a Design Build project. The project will provide the full design for the repairs and renovations for Buildings 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 and the phased construction for Building 28, 29, 30, 31 and 32 (with respect to the awarded Base and Options). BASE ITEM 0001 Firm Fixed Price (Lump Sum) including all bonds, materials, labor, and equipment for the Design Build for all buildings and Construction of buildings 28 and 29 at NWSSB, Seal Beach, CA. OPTION ITEM 0002 Firm Fixed Price (Lump Sum) for the renovation of building 30 and 31. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 365 calendar days from the date of the task order award. The period of performance will be extended 280 calendar days from the task order award date. OPTION ITEM 0003 Firm Fixed Price (Lump Sum) for the renovation of building 32. The Contracting Officer may exercise the option by written notice to the Contractor within 365 calendar days from the date of the task order award. The period of performance will be extended 140 calendar days from the task order award date. PERFORMANCE PERIOD The Notice of Award is the signed DD1155 for this task order. The Notice of Award is the Notice to Proceed with the work on this project. The date of award is the date the DD1155 is signed by the Contracting Officer. After the Notice of Award is issued the contractor shall complete the work within 511 calendar days.
