Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Erie, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The bid packet is for 3 Borough-owned roads: Gray Avenue, full length from Eastern Ave to Willow St. Willow Street, from Buffalo Rd to Fremont St. Idlewood Drive, full length from Water St to Market St. This is broken down into: 4460 SY Milling of Existing Asphalt Pavement Surface, 145 Ton Superpave Scratch Course, 368 Ton Superpave Wearing Course, 23 Ton Superpave Base Course, and 6 ADA ramps. Work to be completed on or before September 13, 2024. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $975.00 per calendar day. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid, made payable to the municipality. A performance bond or certified check in the amount of 100% of the contract shall be furnished by the successful bidder within 20 days after the contract is awarded. The Municipality reserves the right to reject any or all proposals. Mill existing asphalt pavement surface to a depth of 2", placement of Superpave Wearing (Scratch) Course at depth of 1/2", and Superpave Wearing Course at a depth of 1 1/2". Optional work includes the construction of ADA Ramps.
