The Sacramento Public Library Authority (SPLA) seeks proposals from qualified and experienced companies, that have a Headquarters or Main Office within 50 miles of the Central Library (828 I St. Sacramento, CA 95814), to provide window treatment services which includes but is not limited to the removal and disposal of existing window treatments, the provision of all labor and materials for new window treatments, and the installation and maintenance of new window treatments. The Library is accepting proposals for a two-year contract through November 3, 2026, with the possibility of an additional one-year renewal at the option of the Library, through November 3, 2027. Questions must be submitted to the online website prior to 6:00 PM on Friday, 06/28/2024. Bid Valid 90 days Liquidated Damages None Estimated Bid Value $150,000.00 Start/Delivery Date 11/04/2024 Project Duration 2-year contract with the option for a 3rd year at the discretion of the library. This section describes the general nature of the scope of services to be provided, which includes but is not limited to the removal and disposal of existing window treatments, the provision, installation, and maintenance of high-quality blinds,shades, or other chosen window treatmentsthat meet the aesthetic, functionality, and budgetary requirements of the Sacramento Public Library. The Contractor shall provide the goods, services and deliverables required, as described and detailed below. 1. Removal and Disposal o Disassemble and remove existing window treatments that will be replaced. o Dispose of all debris and materials resulting from the removal of existing window treatments. 2. Measurement and Assessment o Conduct thorough measurements and assessments of all windows within the designated areas of selected locations. o Provide detailed documentation of measurements and window specifications. 3. Design and Conceptualization o Develop innovative and aesthetically pleasing design concepts for window treatments that complement the interior decor and architecture of the building. o Present various window treatment options and a listing of prices. o Present conceptual drawings or renderings for client approval prior to fabrication. 4. Product Selection and Procurement o Source high-quality window treatments that meet the Client's requirements for functionality, durability, and style. o Provide product samples and specifications for client review and selection. 5. Installation o Professionally install all selected window treatments and hardware in accordance with industry standards and manufacturer specifications and procedures. o Ensure proper fit, alignment, and functionality of installed products. o Coordinate installation schedule with the Sacramento Public Library to minimize disruption to daily operations. o Remove all debris, materials and equipment from the site. 6. Warranty and Maintenance o All installation services shall be guaranteed to be free from defects for a minimum of one (1) year from the date of the completed installation. It is the vendor's responsibility to thoroughly document all completed window treatments, to determine what date the installation guarantee will commence. The Facilities Manager must sign off on all completed window treatments to confirm their completion. If installation records are not created by the vendor and shared with SPL, then the date the overall project is completed will be used as the start of the one (1) year minimum installation guarantee. All repair services and work associated with installation defects, including un-installations and re-installations, shall be completed by the vendor at no additional cost. o All products, shall be warranted for no less than two (2) years. The Contractor shall replace defective materials and parts at no additional cost, including any services and labor associated with replacing the defective items. Authorization is needed from the SPL Facilities Manager in the event that there is an option to repair a defective material or part instead of replacing it. o Ongoing maintenance and repair of window treatments as-needed for no less than three (3) years, including rectifying manufacturing faults All available warranties options are to be listed with the submitted costs.
