Kansas Highway Patrol is seeking competitive bids for Fencing at their Fleet location in Topeka, Kansas. Fence Specifications for KHP Fleet Location ($31,000) The following specifications are for fence installation at the Kansas Highway Patrol Fleet location located at 930 NE Strait Ave, Topeka, KS 66616. Installing 254' of 8' tall heavy commercial chain link fence with 1(one) 4'W single gate, 1 (one) 26'W double drive gate and 1 (one) 26'W cantilever gate with automation. 1. Standards: Chain link fence to be manufactured in accordance with the Chain Link Fence Manufacturers Institute Standard Specifications for Zinc Coated Steel Chain Link Fabric, Rails, Posts, Gates, and Accessories. 2. Materials: Fabric shall be one piece, 1.2 ounce zinc-coated as per ASTM A392, 2" mesh, and 9 gauge. Fabric shall be Knuckled at one selvage and twisted at the other selvage. Line post shall be 2" OD. All three Gates Posts shall be 4" OD. Corner Posts shall be 4" OD. All pipes shall be schedule 40 galvanized or SS 40 galvanized. 3. All posts shall be set in concrete. 4. This work consists of furnishing and installing of 254" of 8' tall Chain Link 5. Contractor shall furnish all necessary hardware to complete the installation. 6. Work will include the installation of: One - 4'W single gate One - 26'W double drive gate One - 26'W cantilever gate with automation. 7. The 26'W cantilever gate with Liftmaster will need to be power with the keypads to activate the gate. 8. The contractor will coordinate with KHP the begin date of the installation work. 9. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining Utility locates from the Kansas One Call System or appropriate utility providers. Contractor shall give KHP seven working days' notice before beginning project.
