A. Scope of Work: 1. Work includes the complete construction and start-up of a new residential sandmound style septic sewage disposal system at the Nockamixon State Park Deerwood Lane Residence. 2. Work shall include, but is not necessarily limited to, the furnishing of all labor, superintendence, materials, tools and equipment, miscellaneous items, and performing all work necessary to complete all construction to the satisfaction of, and subject to the approval of the Department. Major items of work include: a. Removal and disposal of the contents of the existing cesspool. Cesspool shall be properly abandoned per Bucks County Health Dept. requirements. Contractor shall ensure concrete materials are broken up to allow for drainage. Former cesspool shall be backfilled with AASHTO #3 aggregate. b. Miscellaneous demolition. c. Installation of an on-lot sewage disposal system (sand mound) and related site work. d. Installation of one (1) new 1,250 gallon dual compartment concrete septic tank with solids retainer. e. Installation of one (1) new 750 gallon concrete dosing tank with simplex pump system and electrical control panel. f. Installation of approximately 430’ of 1½” diameter SCH40 PVC tubing and fittings. g. Installation of pressure and gravity sewage pipes. h. Electrical construction related to new on lot system. i. Miscellaneous appurtenances as necessary to provide complete and functional systems as shown on the drawings and described in these specifications shall be furnished. j. System Startup and Testing.
