Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The project will consist of preparing and regarding the existing stone parking lot, and installation of a new asphalt pavement travel lane. The work will consist of 2" of PennDOT 2A stone (taper to existing stone), 2" of 19mm superpave base course, and 1-1/2" of superpave 9.5mm wearing course. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Quakertown. Question Deadline 07/03/2024 change from 07/01/2024 10:00 AM as per spec. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer via PennBid's "Questions" tab. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda and posted within PennBid's "Documents" tab. Notification will be emailed to all parties recorded as having received the bidding documents. Questions received less than six days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by formal written Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
