Bids will be received for the following Contract: Contract No. 1 - General Construction The project is located on Lake Street, Hammond, New York 13646 in the Township of Hammond, St. Lawrence County, New York. This project includes the construction of a 4" perforated underdrain adjacent to the equalization basin at the wastewater treatment facility Each bid must be accompanied by security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the Information for Bidders. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within ninety (90) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Upon execution of the Contract including delivery of the Performance Bond, Labor & Materials Payment Bond and insurance policies and certificates by the Contractor to the Owner and the approval thereof by the Owner's attorney, the Contractor will be notified to proceed with the work. Such notification will be in the form of a letter to proceed from the Owner. The Contractor shall give the Owner at least five (5) days written notice of the date he intends to start work at the site This is an exempt capital improvement project, and Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials which are to be incorporated into the work and which are to be separately sold by the Contractor to the Village of Hammond prior to incorporation into the work of the Contract. The attention of Bidders is particularly called to the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and minimum wage rates to be paid under the Contract. The right is reserved to waive any informalities in the Bid and to reject any or all Bids.
