The project has 520 L.F. of 12" water main, 2 fire hydrants, tie in to existing 8" and 12" mains, and all related accessories and associated work as described in the Plans and Specifications. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, and shall be made payable to The City of Wood River as security that the bidder to whom the contract may be awarded will enter into contract to construct the project and give bond in the sum of the total contract amount for the construction of the project. Checks accompanying bids not accepted shall be returned to the bidders after a contract is awarded. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required for this project. The Owner reserves the right to accept, reject or negotiate any or all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. The Owner intends to award the bid at either the June 4th or June 18th, 2024 City Council meeting. However, no bid shall be withdrawn after opening the bids without the consent of the Owner for a period of 45 days. Submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Plans, Specifications or Contract Documents to the Engineer in writing via email, fax or mail at least seven (7) days before the bid date. The Engineer and the Owner will not be responsible for oral clarification. Binding replies will be issued by written Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by the A/E as having received the bidding documents. Only questions answered by formal written addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect
