The Cowichan Valley Regional District (the CVRD) is seeking proposals from qualified proponent/contractors for the supply and installation of indoor and exterior security cameras and video recording equipment for the following four (4) recreation facilities: Cowichan Community Centre (CCC) Large recreation facility that includes a performance theatre, ice arena, multipurpose halls, dance studios, classrooms, and a library. Requires replacement of existing cameras as well as installation of new cameras to improve site monitoring. Project Budget - $100,000 Kerry Park Recreation Centre (KPRC) Medium-sized recreation facility that includes an ice arena, curling arena, classrooms, and detached outdoor facilities including a baseball field complex with concession building, pickleball courts, and a skate park. Requires replacement of existing cameras as well as installation of new cameras to improve site monitoring. Project Budget - $55,000 Shawnigan Lake Community Centre (SLCC) and Elsie Miles Annex (EM) combined SLCC is a small recreation facility that includes a gymnasium and classrooms. EM is a licensed daycare facility located in a former elementary school adjacent to the SLCC. Neither of these locations is currently under video surveillance.
