Description

Site work and paving for a civil project in Milwaukie, Oregon. Design plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.

This project will install 1,230 feet of 6-inch DI main and abandon 1230 feet of 6-inch CI main in order to replace the existing infrastructure installed in 1957 due to two reported leaks. SE 36th Avenue and SE Roswell Street are jointly managed by the City of Portland and City of Milwaukie respectively, and water quality has been an issue in this area. An auto-flusher has been installed and water quality monitoring data from 2020 and 2021 indicate that water quality is meeting targets. Design of the project will start in FY 2023-24. The project is included in the city's 2022-2025 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). As of November 18, 2024, project is in design phase. Construction is expected to begin late fall/early winter 2024 and last through Fall 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
