North Pike High School Greenhouse. The Board of Trustees Reserves the Right to Reject Any or All Bids or RFP Submissions and to Waive Any Informality. Anticipated Award Date: June 18, 2024 The Strategic Goals for the grant are to: 1. Develop a school culture of health and wellness by increasing health literacy resulting in individuals taking accountability for their own health 2. Increase healthy sustainable nutrition habits of school personnel, students and their families by raising awareness of the importance of eating healthy foods 3. Increase student knowledge of growing fruits and vegetables 4. Incorporate the garden into the schools curricula 5. Improve behavior of students and the moral of students 6. Improve academic performance of the school. Scope of Work: The scope of work for this project includes, but is not limited to: 1. Site assessment and preparation 2. Design and engineering of the greenhouse structure 3. Procurement of materials and equipment 4. Construction and installation of the greenhouse 5. Integration of climate control and irrigation systems 6. Compliance with local building codes and regulations 7. Training for maintenance staff 8. Warranty and ongoing support
