Site work for a water / sewer project in Waukegan, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
PROJECT-This Project consists primarily of dredging around the marina's entrance. Improvements generally include: Mechanically dredging around the gap entrance Placement of dredged material at the nearby "Coke" Plant Soil erosion control measures to ensure dewatered dredge material does not return to Lake Michigan. Seeding of placed dredge material. PRE-BID MEETING - A pre-bid meeting will not be held. BID SECURITY - Not required. BID REJECTION - The OWNER reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the bid or bids, consistent with law, which best serves the interest of the OWNER. WITHDRAWAL OF BIDS - No bid shall be withdrawn for a period of forty-five (45) days after the scheduled opening without the consent of the OWNER. AWARD OF BID - The OWNER will notify the successful bidder within forty-five (45) days after receiving bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish proof of insurance and other items as described by the contract documents. All correspondence, questions and additional information regarding this Bid shall be submitted, via e-mail, no later than 5 PM C.S.T., June 8th, 2024 to: Joe Seidelmann, Project Engineer Waukegan Port District jseidelmann@waukeganport.com.
