As of August 8, 2024 project was awarded to Groenewald Fabrication, awarded amount is $81,853.60. All questions shall be submitted no later than Thursday, June 6, 2024 by 1:00 p.m. on the Public Purchase online bidding system. This project is located at the Red Canyon Wildlife Habitat Management Area (WHMA), located 16 miles south of Lander, Wyoming on Hwy 28. Wildlife friendly steel pipe fencing will be constructed to accommodate wildlife migrations and reduce wildlife/fence incidents Contractor will construct 6,600 feet of 2 3/8"steel pipe post and top-rail fencing. Fence will include 7' line posts driven to three feet (3'), welded continuous top rail at 42" top height, welded clips to support three (3) strands of wire (2 barbed at 24" and 32", 1 smooth at 16" from ground level). Clips will be welded to posts to support the wire and 18" turnbuckles will be used at each end of the wire to connect wire to the end brace. All fence construction shall follow the WGFD construction specifications for wildlife friendly pipe fence (attached). Construction must be completed by WHMA closure date of November 30, 2024. Each bid is required to have a bid deposit in the amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the total bid, if the bid is $150,000.00 or more, which shall be in the form of a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check drawn on a reliable bank and made payable to the State of Wyoming (no personal checks will be accepted), or an electronic bid bond with Surety 2000. A bid bond is acceptable ONLY if the bidder should be awarded the contract, and provides a 100% Performance and Payment Bond.
