The Western Virginia Water Authority (Authority) seeks proposals from qualified engineering consultants to provide professional engineering services for construction administration, oversight, and engineering support required during the construction phase of the Beaverdam Creek Dam Spillway Replacement and Dam Improvements project. The scope of services consists of engineering consultation to facilitate the administration and construction of the Beaverdam Creek Dam Spillway Replacement and Dam Improvements Project. The Authority will staff the project with a designated project manager and inspector. The selected offeror will provide engineering support to the Authority during construction. Services required are generally defined below. a. Review and respond to Contractor submittals. b. Review and respond to Contractor requests for information. c. Review and respond to change order requests. d. Review and approve pay application requests from Contractor to WVWA. e. Participate in Monthly progress meetings. f. Provide all Quality Assurance laboratory testing required throughout construction for concrete and fill placed by the Contractor. Review results for accuracy and conformance with the Technical Specifications. g. Provide on-site staffing as required to ensure that work is performed in accordance with plans and specifications. h. Complete project closeout to include sealed as built drawings and all inspections and reports required by the Department of Conservation and Recreation dam construction permit. The estimated duration of project construction is 645 days and is expected to start July 1st 2024.
