The project consists of the removal of 3 skinned infields and replacement with synthetic turf, underdrainage, chain link fencing and sod restoration The bid requires a 10% Bid Surety with the proposal. Following the award of the contract, the successful contractor(s) must be able to provide a satisfactory Performance Bond, Labor and Material Payment Bond, and required proof of insurance. This project is grant funded. The grantor has set a goal of 2% of the grant proceeds awarded to certified minority owned businesses (MBE) or certified women own businesses (WBE). The winning bidder is expected to make a good faith effort to utilize certified MBE or WBE subcontractors and/or supplies. Only work performed by certified MBE/WBE businesses shall be counted towards the 2% goal; certified businesses may not subcontract any part of their work to another firm, unless that firm is also a certified MBE/WBE business. Fox Valley Park District reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive bid formalities, and to accept the lowest responsible bid that serves the best interests of the District.
