Demolition, site work, paving and addition to a mixed-use development in Shelby, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the addition of a 10,032-square-foot fire / police facility; for the demolition of a fire / police facility; for site work for a fire / police facility; and for paving for a fire / police facility.
**As of Sepetember 9, 2024, project not yet awarded.** The project will be bid as a Single Prime Contract with Plumbing, Fire Protection, Mechanical, Electrical, and Civil as subcontracts. Unless other possible considerations come into play, the project will be awarded on the basis of lowest bid. The project consists of an addition to the existing truck bay building. The addition will be two-story masonry construction, with offices, a training room, commercial kitchen, residential areas, day room and bunk rooms. Project will include site work, drives ways, and parking areas. The addition and truck bays will be separated by a fire wall. The addition will be 10,032 square feet and will include an automatic sprinkler system Bid Security of 5% of the bid in Cash, Certified Check, or Bid Bond is required. Performance and Payment bonds for 100% of the contracts sum will be required No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for a period of forty-five (45) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities.
