The Purpose of This Project is to Replace a Structure With One R.c. Box Culvert on Highway 86 in Prairie County. This Project Consists of Clearing and Grubbing, Earthwork, Aggregate Base Course, Achm Binder and Surface Courses, Cold Milling Asphalt Pavement, Achm Patching of Existing Roadway, Maintenance of Traffic, Minor Drainage, Erosion Control, Pavement Marking, Construct One Quintuple Box Culvert (63.83 Ft) and Misc. Items. Routes: 86 Sections: 2 County: Prairie Length: 0.111 Mile in Length. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Complete This Contract Withing Four Hundred Fifteen (415) Calendar Days. The Percentage Goal for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (Dbe) Participation in This Project is 8.0%. In order to have a bid considered, contractors must furnish a proposal guaranty consisting of either a bidder's bond or a certified or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. In order for a bond to be acceptable to the Department, the company issuing the bond must be named in the Department of Treasury Listing of companies holding Certificates of Authority as acceptable sureties on Federal Bonds and as acceptable reinsuring companies. The Underwriting Limitation of the bonding company shall be adhered to. Any excess (between the face amount of the Bond and the Underwriting Limitation) shall be protected by reinsurance provided by an acceptable reinsuring company. These contracts are subject to normal prequalification, licensing and bonding requirements, applicable labor laws, non-discrimination provisions, wage rate laws and other Federal laws including the Fair Labor Standards Acts of 1938. The Work Hours Act of 1962 and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 also apply.
