Proposals will not be accepted by email, facsimile, or hard copy. Proposals must be submitted electronically through the County Electronic Procurement Network (ePro) and must contain an original signature (signed and scanned or digitally certified signature). All Proposers must register with the ePro system prior to the date and time to submit the proposal or they will be disqualified. Services to be provided under this Request for Proposals (RFP) are outlined under Section V, Scope of Work. The Contract period will be for a maximum of five (5) years beginning on approximately July 1, 2024, and ending on June 30, 2029 Deadline for Submission of Questions May 22, 2024 at 4:00pm San Bernardino County encompasses 20,105 square miles, consisting of a land area of 20,057 square miles and water area of 48 square miles, and is the largest county in the continental United States. It borders Los Angeles, Riverside, Orange, Inyo and Kern counties and the states of Arizona and Nevada. The County's Innovation and Technology Department is responsible for providing a variety of information technology (IT) services to all County departments, special districts, and other federal, state, and local government agencies. Radio communication facilities, including radio towers and their attached equipment such as feedlines, microwave dishes, radio antennas, and supporting components facilitate mobile and base station radio communications. These communications are utilized as an important tool to facilitate the delivery of various governmental services to the public throughout the County. Innovation and Technology Department (County) manages and maintains the County's Public Safety and Microwave Radio Communications System that provides a means by which dispatch centers and public safety first responders communicate, utilizing mobile/portable radios via voice and data transmission. The system facilitates the delivery of emergency and routine public services. The radio towers and facilities that support this system have numerous antennas, feedlines, and related accessory items, including cable management trays, ground cables, lightening arrestors, and aeronautical warning lights which occasionally require maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair/replacement. As part of the countywide vision to provide sustainable infrastructures, the County is seeking Proposals for an hourly rate on a best effort basis from interested and qualified service providers with essential knowledge and experience servicing equipment such as base station radio antennas, microwave dishes, transmission lines, tower aeronautical lighting equipment, cable management hardware, surge and lightening suppression, DC power equipment including batteries, and other accessories found within the County's complex communications network. To achieve the County's goals and objectives for tower communication services, the County is seeking a service provider to maintain, troubleshoot and repair, or replace and install equipment supporting County's communication infrastructure requirements. The county is seeking Proposals from interested and qualified service providers with essential knowledge and experience for tower repair services. All Proposers must register with the ePro system prior to the date and time to submit the proposal or they will be disqualified
