The Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario invites proposals for the Supply and Installation Services of Playground Mulch and associated work at all our facilities. The Board has 37 locations in the counties of Dundas, Glengarry, Grenville, Lanark, Leeds, Prescott, Russell and Stormont. The purpose of this quotation is to provide playground mulch, supply and installation services to CDSBEO and provide expertise when and where needed. CDSBEO requires at least the services listed below, including the specific tasks and work activities described. Contractors will be required to provide sufficient qualified staff, vehicles (dump truck, back hoe, etc), traffic control, flagging, and all other equipment to fulfill the duties outlined in this RFQ in a timely manner. The protective surface surrounding the structure will be engineered wood fiber (EWF), which shall be required to be capable of meeting the energy absorbency requirements of CSA Z614-14. Vendors are responsible for the supply and placement of engineered wood fiber. The Board assumes a 12-inch application of EWF unless specified by the vendor to meet critical fall standards set by CSA. Any variant from the 12-inch application of EWF must be specific and demonstrated. Vendors shall include an Eco-friendly weed control landscaping fabric under the engineered wood fiber, if required. Safely manage CDSBEO's location maps and records. This information shall not be disclosed to or made available to people who are not approved by the Authority. Additionally, the Contractor shall utilize all information transmitted by CDSBEO solely for the purpose of performing the duties outlined in this RFQ on behalf of CDSBEO. Contractors will be required to complete the initial work during the month of August and be fully completed by August 31st. and top ups as required until July 2025.
