Site work and renovation of a water / sewer project in Gray, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The City of Johnson City is accepting bids for the C Sewer Pump Station Replacement Project. The project will include, but not necessarily be limited to the installation of a new Sanitary Sewer Pump Station at 191 Boring Chapel Road, Johnson City, Tennessee, which generally includes a new chemical tank pad and tank, generator pad and generator, control building, grinder well, wet well, valve vault, flow meter, manholes, yard piping, electrical components, pumps and mechanical components, forcemain and connections, site improvements, decommissioning and demolition of the existing wet well/ steel dry pit station, and all other items necessary for a complete and functioning sanitary sewer lift station. Refer to Bid Proposal section 00300 for specific quantities. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed ninety (90) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders prior to awarding of the contract. No bidder may withdraw their bid within ninety (90) days after the actual opening of the bid thereof. No bid will be opened unless the outside of the sealed envelope contains the completed Contractor's Bid Envelope Form. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount bid. This check or bid bond is required as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the performance thereof duly secured by an approved performance bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price, each bond. Surety companies executing Bonds must appear on the Treasury Department's most current list (circular 570) as amended and be authorized to transact business in the State of Tennessee. The project herein described is to be substantially completed within 360 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed with final completion 30 days thereafter. Liquidated damages for delay of completion of contract work will be assessed at $500.00 per Calendar Day. The City of Johnson City reserves the right to waive any informality in or to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid deemed favorable to the interest of the City of Johnson City. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals required to furnish and install, complete and ready for operation, the pumps as further described below. Work shall include, but not be limited to, pumps, piping as shown on drawings, valves, mounting systems, and other accessories as required for the specified pumps. B. The work also includes premium efficiency motors, all electrical controls, instrumentation, control panels, wiring, mounting, supports, and all other items required for a complete, functional installation. Start-up shall be supervised by a representative of the pump manufacturer, and written certification of proper installation and operation shall also be provided by this representative. C. Installation shall include base elbow, piping, valves, and guiderails as shown on the drawings for three (3) pumps, with two (2) pumps to be installed in the wet well and all items for installation of one (1) future pump provided. A third complete pump assembly is to be supplied to the Owner for future installation.
