This Contract covers the replacement of the principal entrance building, phased site and security modifications at the Kent Institution, 4732 Cemetery Road, Agassiz, B.C. The Work is to be completed in 5 phases. Phase 1 - Install temporary security measures, fence lines and gates, establish construction and laydown areas, perform partial demolition and earthwork, perform installation of utility diversions and demolish and cap existing utilities impacted by the preload and building construction, preload the site for geotechnical preparation, remove preload material and prepare site to commence new building construction. Phase 2 - Construct new principal entrance building, interiors and site work, including all utility connections and security feature installations. Construct temporary entrance walks and complete final walk way construction inside the institution's perimeter fencing. Phase 3 - Relocate operational equipment from the existing principal entrance to the new building. Perform phased modifications and new construction to security fencing and gates at the sally port. Phase 4 - Establish construction perimeter around the existing Principal Entrance building. Perform abatement and demolition of the existing building and site work. Modify existing electrical vaults for exterior use. Phase 5 - Complete construction of new site work, utilities, security fencing and security features. Remove temporary security fencing and features. Restore existing landscaping, site work and parking lot to original condition. TIMELINE: Tender is cancelled. Project may be updated if/when approved to tender. Further update may be available in spring 2026, upon approvals. *To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project is estimated to cost approximately between $5,000,001.00 and $20,000,000.00 (GST included).
