This project involves 1) the removal of sludge from two (2) sediment basins located within 0.3 miles of BVU Authority's Water Treatment Plant at 22479 Watauga Road, in Abingdon, Virginia; 2) the dewatering of removed sludge to landfill-acceptable specifications; and 3) transportation of dewatered sludge to an approved landfill. Completion of the project is expected by November 1, 2024. BVU Authority retains the right to reject all quotes, work with one contractor as deemed acceptable by BVU Authority to complete the project, or work with one or more contractors to facilitate various project stages to ultimately complete the project.
