In accordance with M.G.L. c. 30,39M, it is the intention of the Town of Franklin to retain the services of a company for the purposes of Elevated Water Tank Mixer Replacement and Sediment Removal at the Forge Hill Tank in the Town of Franklin.. The work to be performed will include removing sediment from and installing a replacement active water tank mixing system in the Forge Hill Tank with all appurtenant work and all miscellaneous associated work as indicated on the contract documents. Work under this Contract shall be paid for at the contract unit bid prices, which shall constitute full compensation for all material, labor, equipment, etc., required to satisfactorily complete the work. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. A. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals to furnish and install a replacement active tank mixing system. An in-the-wet installation is required; the tank will not be drained or isolated from the distribution system. The work includes all electrical components and appurtenances as needed for a complete installation of a replacement SCADAready mixing system. B. OWNER will be responsible for the hookup of the mixing systems SCADA outputs to OWNERs SCADA system. C. Contractor shall remove up to two inches of sediment (1000 cu. ft for the Forge Hill Tank) from the bottom of the water storage tank, and shall haul the sediment offsite for disposal. The tank will not be drained or isolated from the distribution system for this work.
