Site work and paving for a civil project in Franklin, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The scope of work is to remove and replace the existing asphalt to the limits identified below, regrade the existing subbase as necessary and install new hot mix asphalt driveway pavement in two lifts: a 1-1/2" binder course and a 1-1/2" top course. All work shall be in accordance with MassDOT Standard specifications for driveway paving. The locations and limits of work are shown on the attached sketch highlighted in red and as follows: 4 Charles Drive 68 sq. yd. (front portion approx. 21 ft. from back of sidewalk) 6 Charles Drive 147 sq. yards (entire driveway) 8 Charles Drive 239 sq. yards (entire driveway) Work must be completed within 45 days from the Notice to Proceed. Quoted price must be based upon payment for labor at prevailing wage rates. A 50% payment bond will be required from awarded contractor if contract price is greater than $25,000. The contract will be awarded to the responsible vendor, with supporting references, who offers the above- mentioned services at the lowest price.
