Renovation of an educational facility in Norfolk, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Please do not call the Engineer/ Architect, Project Manager or Purchasing Office with questions. King Philip Middle School Main Office Entry Security project includes the removal of school main office entry door, main vestibule doors, ceilings, lighting, painting and some flooring along with providing new entry into school and main office. Interior window and window frame in office replaced with new. All electrical related renovations required in the renovated area scope of work. HVAC includes cabinet unit heater replacement with new. Please Note: Project is a two (2) year, two (2) phase project as summer 2024 timeline may not meet schedule for both phases scope of work. Also note, Bids are being requested as: Base Bid No. 1 All work as shown for both Phase "A" and Phase "B". Base Bid No. 2 - All work as shown for Phase "A" only. Phase "B" may be bid in 2025. State law requires a minimum of twenty-five (25%) percent of the state-funded portion of the contract for award to subcontractors holding current certification from the Connecticut Department of Administrative Services ("DAS") under the provisions of CONN. GEN. STAT. 4a-60g, as amended. (25% of the work with DAS certified Small and Minority owned businesses and 25% of that work with DAS certified Minority, Women and/or Disabled owned businesses.) The contractor must demonstrate good faith effort to meet the 25% set-aside goals. All Bidders must file with their bid a bid bond, certified or treasurer's check in the amount of 10% of the total of the base bid made payable to the Town of West Hartford. Performance and Labor and Material Payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder if the contract pursuant to this request for bids exceeds $50,000.00. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of ninety (90) days after the opening of bids without the approval anc Town of West Hartford. The right is reserved to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality in the bidding and to make awards in most beneficial to the Town. Bidders are encouraged to attend the town's bid opening at which time the public is afforde record bid prices received in response to the town's solicitation. We will endeavor to post th website.
