The Town of Durham invites qualified bidders to submit sealed bids for the installation of an ornamental fence as part of the Madbury Road Complete Streets Project - Phase 1 Roadway, Drainage, and Streetscape. Please direct all questions to Samuel Hewitt, Assistant Director of Public Works at (603) 868-5578. The Madbury Road Complete Streets Project - Phase 1 Roadway, Drainage, and Streetscape work includes reconstruction of the roadway and stormwater collection system using both conventional and low impact development (LID) stormwater treatment methods, reconstruction of sections of the Pettee Brook culvert to address structural deficiencies, construction of stone masonry retaining walls to support the installation of a varying width 8'- 10' wide Multi-Use pathway on the eastern side of Madbury Road, reconstruction of sidewalks, installation of decorative lighting for the roadway, sidewalk and multi-use path, installation of traffic calming measures, inclusive of bump outs at three pedestrian crossings, landscaping and hardscape improvements. The ornamental fence detailed in this request for bid proposals will be installed above a retaining wall along the frontage of 24-28 Madbury Road in Durham, NH 03824.
