Site work for a mixed-use development in Clarkton, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.
Bladen County Parks and Recreation Department is interested in receiving informal bids from qualified vendors for the grading of a 300' by 200' Multi-Purpose Field within Bladen County Park. Bid Packets and Specifications can be obtained at the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Department, located at 803 W King Street in Elizabethtown, NC 28337 or by contacting Grant Pait (910) 862-6770. For any additional information or concerns please contact Grant Pait, Bladen County Parks and Recreation Director at (910) 862-6770. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of 30 days. The County of Bladen has the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Bladen County Park Multi-Purpose Field Scope of Work: This project consists of grading, drainage, and erosion control for a 300' by 200' Multi-Purpose Field located at the Bladen County Park. A walk-through swell should be placed where the existing fence is located. Coordination of this project shall be done with the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Director. Specifications: Approximately 140 loads of Sand Clay needed. Approximately 60 loads of Topsoil needed to make a 6-inch layer. Topsoil is to be free of debris. Drain in a NW/NE direction towards the tree line (away from concession stand). Safety: The contractor shall be responsible for providing all safety equipment and safety training for all employees working on Bladen County property. When working in proximity to pedestrians, vehicles, building entryways or sidewalks, precautions shall be taken to ensure the safety of the public. Barricades, signage, flaggers or other means as necessary shall be taken to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists. Security: Only staff with proper security clearance will be allowed inside the building. No employee with felony convictions, misdemeanor convictions more than minor traffic violations or outstanding warrants will be allowed in the buildings or on the project. The Recreation Director may reject any or all proposed employees not conforming to the security requirements. No weapons will be allowed inside the building or on county property at any time. Project Completion: The contractor shall have 45 days from the date of award of contract to complete all work. Failure to complete all work within 45 days could result in the assessment of liquidated damages up to $100.00 per day for each consecutive day beyond the completion date. Inclement Weather Conditions: Should weather affect the project completion, the number of days delayed shale be considered for contract extension by the Recreation Director as verified by local weather reports. Award and Payment: Award of contract shall follow the bid opening and verification of the lowest responsible bid. Bladen County reserves the right to reject any and all bids. Award of contract shall take place within 30 days of the date of bid opening. Final payment shall be made within 30 days upon completion of all work to satisfactory condition as approved by the Bladen County Parks and Recreation Director.
