Renovation of a water / sewer project in Maple Glen, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.

Electrical: $100,000 - $150,000 *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The work for this project consists of the addition of a generator to the existing well site and treatment plant building located 1028 Limekiln Pike (Route 152) in Horsham Township, Montgomery County, PA. The work generally includes the construction of an elevated generator platform and the placement of a Horsham owned 200 kW diesel powered 480 Volt generator (Kohler Model 200 REOZJF) on the platform to be relocated from Well 22 in the Township, sewer relocation, addition of platform access stairs, walkway handrail relocation, placement of an ATS inside the well building and ancillary conduit wiring as shown on the construction drawings and as specified in the Project Manual. All work is to be completed in strict accordance with the Project Manual. Work is contained under two (2) lump sum contracts. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check for not less than ten percent (10%) of the Bid amount payable to the Authority along with an Agreement of Surety certifying that the required Performance and Payment Bonds will be provided to the Bidder. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish proof of insurance and bonds for Performance, Payment, and Maintenance in such form as meets the approval of the Authority and having as security thereon such Surety company or companies as are approved by the Authority. Questions will be received online only until Wednesday June 12, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. The project is subject to applicable provisions of Act 422, Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, as amended, and the prevailing minimum wage rates issued by the PA Department of Labor and Industry, and certified payrolls will be required attesting to this. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of the bids. The Horsham Water and Sewer Authority reserves the right to reject any and all bids for any cause whatsoever, to eliminate any item or items from the contract, to waive any informality in the bids or to make an award to such Bidder who, in the judgement of the Authority, makes the most advantageous bid. SCOPE OF WORK A. All work in Division 26 shall meet requirements of this section. In addition, this specification is subject to applicable sections of other Divisions of this Work, where equipment and instruments are specified and such equipment and instruments have electrical connections. B. This work includes all labor, materials, equipment and services for a complete electrical system. Work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Electrical equipment and grounding systems. 2. Demolish or salvage, existing equipment as shown on the drawings or as required for a complete, safe and workable system. 3. Furnish and install electrical devices as required by National Electrical Code. 4. Furnish and install automatic transfer switch, raceways, conductors, boxes/enclosures, grounding, and instruments. 5. Relocate from Horsham Water and Sewer Authority Well 22 one 200 kW Kohler diesel fueled generator. Install the generator at the Well 19 site. Provide 150 gallons of fuel for the generator and have a kohler factory authorized service provider, perform maintenance, start-up and training after the generator is relocated from Well 22 to Well 19. The maintenance work to be performed by the Kohler factory authorized service representative shall include replacing all filters and fluids, performing any additional lubrication tasks, checking electrical connections, and a two hour load bank test (after the maintenance is completed). Shop Drawing Submittals for the Generator are included for reference as an appendix to Division 26. No guarantee is made as to the accuracy of the shop drawing submittal. 6. Make interconnections to equipment including generator, automatic transfer switch, existing circuit breakers, docking station, and generator ancillary equipment. Provide raceways and conductors to interface with existing devices as shown on the drawings. Provide raceways and conductors as shown on the drawings for interface between the generator and the SCADA panel. Exact I/O points will be identified during construction. The Authority will be responsible for programming of the SCADA panel to accommodate the generator I/O. The programming will be done under a separate contract. 7. Furnish and install electrical connections complete to all equipment whether indicated on the plans or not to accomplish a fully functional electrical system as described herein. 8. Provide electrical studies including arc flash hazard analysis and short circuit study. 9. Provide labeling and marking for all new raceways and equipment
