Contractor shall complete all Work as specified or indicated in the Contract Documents. The Work is generally described as follows 1.01 The approximately 173,330 feet of 3-inch, 4-inch, 8-inch and 16-inch diameter gasketed joint polyvinyl chloride pipeline, connections to existing pipelines, cleanouts, road and stream crossings, appurtenances, replacement of one (1) existing prefabricated steel booster vault, rehabilitation of two (2) existing prefabricated steel booster vaults, and replacement of an existing tank weir and overflow pipe required by the Project Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents. The project is located in Hand, Jerauld, Buffalo, Hyde, and Hughes Counties in South Dakota. The Project consists of constructing approximately 173,330 feet of 3-inch, 4-inch, 8-inch and 16-inch diameter gasketed joint polyvinyl chloride pipeline, connections to existing pipelines, cleanouts, road and stream crossings, appurtenances, replacement of one (1) existing prefabricated steel booster vault, rehabilitation of two (2) existing prefabricated steel booster vaults, and replacement of an existing tank weir and overflow pipe required by the Project Drawings, Specifications, and Contract Documents. A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in the amount of ten (10) percent of Bidders maximum Bid Price General Condition or by a certified check. The requirements for bidders and contractors under this regulation which concerns utilization of Disadvantaged/Minority Business Enterprises (DBE/MBE) and Womens Business Enterprises (WBE) are explained in the contract documents. The goal for MBE is 1% of the total dollar value of the project. The goal for WBE is 4% of the total dollar value of the project. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids.
