The purpose of this document is to provide interested parties with information to enable them to prepare and submit a solicitation response for State Bridge Fiber Wrap Services on Bridge B-13-703, Edgerton Road over IH-39/90 NB. Project Location & Description B-13-703, Edgerton Road over IH 39/90: Repair girder 6, Span 2 (South exterior girder). Full wrap (inside and outside faces and bottom flange) from steel diaphragm to steel diaphragm over Lane 3 (Eastern-most) to the toe of the Eastern slope (Approximately 32 feet). FRP shall be painted to match existing girder color. Repair also includes crack injection in that same work area of 1/16" (0.063 inches) and larger crack width. Crack area is approximately 40LF. Daytime lane closures on this project are allowed Monday - Wednesday. Work can be done 7AM to 5PM. Contractor is responsible for all traffic control. The contractor will need to notify WisDOT 2 weeks in advance of the closure so that it can be approved and entered into LCS by WisDOT. Requests submitted after that time frame will not be considered. In the event that it becomes necessary to provide additional clarifying data or information, or to revise any part of this bid, addenda and/or supplements will be posted electronically. The County reserves the right to accept any part of a submission deemed to be in the best interest of the County and to reject any and all proposals and to negotiate the terms of the contract, including the award amount, with the selected proposer prior to entering into a contract. If contract negotiations cannot be concluded successfully with the highest scoring proposer, the County may negotiate a contract with the next highest scoring proposer. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check payable to the Dane County Public Works, Highway & Transportation Department, or a bid bond, as a guarantee in the amount of 5% of the total bid. Successful bidders shall furnish the County with a performance bond equal to 100% of the contracted amount (per State Statute 779.14). Work on all projects must be completed by October 31st, 2025
