Remediation Services Project - Building C MDOT/SHA District Office. Lump sum for completed job (includes all costs, labor, materials, transportation, overhead, etc) Scope of Work Containment (air and watertight) of the work area is required for this project. The containment shall be designed and constructed in such a manner to ensure that the remediation area is completely isolated from the rest of building. 1. Completely isolate and enclose the entrance and emergency exits. 2. Isolate/enclose each area by installing a critical barrier consisting of two layers of six-mil fire retardant polyethylene sheeting (tack sprayed and duct tape) that fully encapsulates the area to be remediated. The entrance to areas to be remediated shall be zippered and shall include a double flap. Construct the enclosure in such a manner to ensure that it will remain intact during the duration of the project. Prices submitted in response to this solicitation are irrevocable for ninety (90) days following the due date. The Procurement Officer may, however, request vendors to extend the time during which the State may accept their bids. Once a bid is accepted, all prices, terms, and conditions shall remain unchanged throughout the contract period. SUMMARY STATEMENT The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) is soliciting lump sum bids for remediation and put back work at the Administration's Sailsbury District office building (C) located in Salisbury, MD The area incorporated into this Work Plan consists of the remediation of the interior of 1789 SQ FT main level and 1789 SQ Ft basement with the ceiling with the ceiling height of 8' on both levels. Based on an inspection there is evidence of fungal spore on walls and ceiling as the result of water infiltration. Due to there was known water damage, pre air sampling had been taken showing Fungi spores of Chaetomium and Stachy botrys. Once the remediation work is complete, there will be final air sampling taken prior to the putback works begins. Note: If all bids exceed $50,000 this procurement will be cancelled and re-advertised as a formal procurement.
