Permanent Asphalt Patching in Dorchester and Wicomico Counties. This solicitation shall be conducted in accordance with COMAR 21.05.07 - Small Procurement Regulations ($50,000 or Less). I. SUMMARY STATEMENT The MDOT State Highway Administration is soliciting bids for a contractor to perform Permanent Patching with 9.5 MM and/or 12.5 mm Hot Mix Asphalt at various locations in Dorchester and Wicomico Counties, for a period not to exceed twelve (12) months or a total amount of $50,000.00. The Contractor shall furnish the Contract Manager with the name, address, and phone number of an individual in his firm who can be contacted at any time to schedule or revise the work schedule. Contractor must arrive at the starting point of work at the start time established by the Contract Manager. This is a non-exclusive Contract. It does not include all work expected to be performed in the designated areas. Therefore, at times, other Contractors may be performing similar work that is not associated with this contract. The main purpose of this procurement is for Patching various locations within Dorchester and Wicomico Counties by removing existing material, preparing subgrade for patching, and patching area with a minimum of 1 1/2” to a maximum of 6” of 9.5 mm for Surface, PG 64S-22, HDFV, Level 2 and/or 12.5 MM for Surface, PG 64S-22, Level 2 Hot Mix Asphalt to meet the grade with the existing roadway. This may include saw cutting the roadway if necessary. Crack seal all payment joints around new patch area. All work shall conform to the Maryland Department of Transportation, State Highway Administration Standards for Highways and Incidental Structures and MUTCD guidelines. Work hours shall be between the hours of 7am – 7pm Monday – Friday. Any work time outside of these hours must be approved in advance by the administration. Bid items and quantities in the Bid Form are provided in this Contract for use when and directed by the Contract Manager and are estimated. Work shall be performed as directed by the Contract Manager and may or may not be on a continual basis.
