Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Kitchener, Ontario. Working plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; transportation facility; and bridge / tunnel.
Construction of the Kitchener Central Transit Hub. Phase 1 includes: construction of a pedestrian bridge across King Street; construction of a connection ramp to Metrolinx's platform to on-grade bus loop; mechanical and electrical room fi-tup; bus shelter and bike storage area fit-up; construction of a bus loop and pathways; construction of a parking pick-up and drop-off area; signage and wayfinding. Phase 2 includes: construction of the Kitchener Central transit hall; bus loop expansion; connection of one underpass to the transit hall; and creation of a public square and transit plaza. TIMELINE: RFQ for Construction Managers has closed; as of August 12, 2024, three (3) firms have prequalified. Stage II ITB to the prequalified firms is expected to be issued late October 2024. Details will be available on Bids and Tenders. Phase 1 budget is $33 million. Phase 2 budget is $130 million.
