Remodeling of a medical facility in Concord, California. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 10,215-square-foot medical facility.

**As of August 20 , 2024 Project has not yet been awarded. Anticipated award date is on September 9, 2024.** The estimated construction contract cost (Base bid) is $6,145,000. The prime contractor for this project shall hold a valid Class B General Building Contractor license. The project includes the remodel of two buildings with a total of 10,215 SF to create a new crisis call center, drop-in clinic, and an outpatient treatment center. The Tenant Improvement includes all aspects of a fully functional tenant improvement including but not limited to interior partitions, MEP, doors & windows, fire alarm modifications, fire sprinkler modifications, casework and security alterations. In addition, the project includes exterior landscaping and a new irrigation system. Technical questions regarding the contract documents should be directed in writing to the Capital Projects Management Division at Diane.Strassmaier@pw.cccounty.us. All questions must be received no later than 3:30PM on 8 July 2024 Each bid shall be made on the bid form issued with the specifications and must be accompanied by bid security in the form of cash, a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of the ten percent (10%) of the base bid amount, made payable to "The County of Contra Costa". The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price, said bonds to be secured from an admitted surety insurer authorized by the Insurance Commissioner to transact business of insurance in the State of California. Each bond shall be issued on the form set forth in the specifications. The said Board reserves the right to reject any and all bids or any portion of any bid and/or waive any irregularity in any bid received. Bids may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the date set for opening thereof. The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors encourages opportunities to develop and support Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), Women Business Enterprises (WBEs), Small Business Enterprises (SBEs), Local Business Enterprises (LBEs), and Disabled Veterans Business Enterprises (DVBEs) by providing opportunities for participation in the performance of construction contracts financed in whole or in part with County funds. MBE, WBE, SBE, LBE, and DVBE definitions and detailed information are included in Division E of the Specifications. Each bid is to be in accordance with the drawings and specifications on file at the Office of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors, First Floor, County Administration Building, 1025 Escobar Street, Martinez, California. The drawings and specifications may be examined at the County Public Works Department, 255 Glacier Drive, Martinez, California 94553-4897, Monday - Thursday (7:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) and Friday (8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon and 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.). Drawings and specifications are not available for purchase at the 255 Glacier Drive location. The Capital Projects Management Division does not guarantee the arrival of the drawings and specifications in time for bidding. No partial sets will be issued. There are no assurances to bidders who acquire bid documents from sources other than directly from the Contra Costa County Public Works Department's Online that they will receive all of the project bid documents (including addenda).
