Site work for a road / highway in Concord, California. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Citywide Arterial & Collector Maintenance No. 3 The work to be done in general consists of mobilization; traffic control; water pollution control program; clearing, grubbing trimming and root pruning; cold planning of asphalt roadway; placement ofHot Mix Asphalt (HMA) materials; crack sealing; slurry seal and rubberized cape seal; lowering and adjusting utility covers to finish grade; curb ramp and concrete improvements; removal and replacement of traffic striping; and all other work shown on the Plans and as specified in these Special Provisions. The estimated construction cost for the Base Bid is $800,000 The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A," General Engineering Contractor or Class "C-12," Earthwork and Paving Contractor. Further, only a contractor registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to submit a bid. Furthermore, only subcontractors registered with the DIR to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to perform work or labor or render service under subcontract to the subject contractor. The bidder's attention is directed to the section of the Special Provisions regarding the requirement to enter into a Project Stabilization Agreement ("PSA") for City construction projects funded in whole or in part with City of Concord funds where the engineer's estimate or bid amount exceeds $750,000.00. The PSA also includes Helmets to Hardhats requirement. A copy of the PSA is attached and incorporated by reference. The City Council has ascertained that State of California prevailing wage rates are applicable for this and all City projects. The Contractor may elect to receive 100% of payments due under the contract from time to time, without retention of any portion of the payment by the City, by depositing securities of equivalent value with the City in accordance with the provisions of Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code and with applicable City regulations. Such securities, if deposited by the Contractor, will be valued by the City's Finance Director, whose decision on valuation of the securities will be final The deadline for submitting questions about this project is 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2nd, 2024 All Bids Shall Be Presented Under Sealed Cover and Shall Be Accompanied by Cash, Cashier's or Certified Check or a Bidder's Bond Executed by a Corporate Surety Insurer. The Bidder's Guarantee Shall Be in an Amount Equal to at Least Ten Percent (10%) of the Amount Bid and Made Payable to the City of Concord
