Description

Renovation of a water / sewer project in San Rafael, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a levee.

Questions concerning this project should be submitted in writing via regular mail o r email no later than 5:00pm on June 20, 2024, 7 days prior to bid opening and directed to Philip Buckley philip.buckley@cityofsanrafael.org The project site is a sewer easement located along the north facing slope below Bret Harte Road. It extends approximately 1,450-ft, with the western end below 140 Bret Harte Road and the eastern end located at the end of Oakhurst Road. The project site is currently developed with an assortment of retaining walls in moderate to poor condition. The old retaining walls have completely failed or rotted away at several locations along the easement. We understand that the primary objective of this project is to clear and widen the existing access road to a uniform width of 6-ft as well as to install new retaining walls to provide support for both the upslope and downslope sides of the road. Site Plans showing the approximate locations of the existing retaining walls are presented on Figure 2 and 3.
