This project consists of construction of a 6-ft sidewalk along NASA Boulevard from Harry Sutton Road to just east of Gateway Drive, for a length of approximately 5,214-feet, including Type F curb and gutter, curb ramps, detectable warning devices, driveway replacements, and installation of boarding and alighting pads for bus stops in compliance with the Americans with disabilities Act (ADA). Drainage improvements include side drain installations with mitered ends, pipe culvert extension with end wall, storm drain pipe installations, manhole installation, ditch regrading, ditch bottom inlet installations, rubble riprap installation, and ditch pavement. Other work items include maintenance of traffic, inlet protection and erosion control, clearing and grubbing removal of existing concrete, regular excavation and embankment, milling and resurfacing, valve box adjustments, guardrail removal, pipe rail, guiderail, performance turf, signing and pavement markings and pedestrian pole installations at signalized intersection of Grumman Place and NASA Boulevard. All sidewalks and pedestrian facilities shall adhere to current ADA standards. All improvements under this contract shall be constructed within the limits of existing rights-of way or through Right of Entry Agreements.
