The Melbourne Airport Authority (MAA) is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors for the Taxiway A Rehabilitation project located at the Melbourne Olando International Airport, Melbourne, Florida. The scope of the project consists of rehabilitating approximately 125,000 square yards of asphalt pavement by milling and overlay, 105,000 square yards of additional pavement surface, 58,000 tons of asphalt, marking the new pavement surface, drainage system improvements, replacing airfield lighting and sign components, and performing grassing. The Bidder agrees to comply with the following requirement: No member, officer, or employee of the Melbourne Airport Authority or the City of Melbourne, during his or her tenure or for one year thereafter, shall have any interest, direct or indirect, in this contract or the proceeds thereof. The Owner reserves the right to reject all proposals with or without cause, to waive technical errors and informalities, and to accept the proposal that best serves the Owner. SCOPE OF WORK Taxiway A is the parallel taxiway to the airports primary commercial service runway, Runway 9R-27L. The objective of this project is to extend the useful life of the Taxiway A pavement and adjacent connector taxiways. The project includes the milling, paving, earthwork, sodding, markings, airfield lighting and all other associated construction activities involving Taxiway A and associated connector taxiways. The project was designed to meet the criteria set forth in the latest Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approved Master Plan and Airport Layout Plan (ALP), as well as FAA Advisory Circular (AC) 150/5300-13B Airport Design.
