Renovation of a municipal facility in Wauchula, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Project Scope: Refurbish and restore the 34 steel windows of the Historic City Hall Auditorium as part of a State of Florida Special Category Grant. Prospective proposers shall not contact, communicate with, or discuss any matter relating in any way to this Request for Proposals with the CRA Board or any employee of the City of Wauchula, other than the CRA Director in writing as specified above. Unauthorized communication initiated by a proposer shall be grounds for disqualifying the offending proposer from consideration for award of the proposal and/or any future proposal. Historic City Hall Auditorium Restoration Phase I The Wauchula Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) will accept sealed proposals from qualified vendors for the restoration of the Historic City Hall Auditorium windows at the Community Redevelopment Agency Office, 107 E. Main Street, Wauchula, FL 33873. SCOPE OF WORK All work must be performed in accordance with the application of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations. Scope of Work has been approved by the State of Florida Division of Historic Preservation and follows the Secretary of Interior’s Standards for Rehabilitation. Steel Window Site Restoration Qty: 34 windows, 494 lites 18 - 53" x 70" 16 lite steel windows 4 - 93" x 140" 36 lite steel windows 6 - 48" x 64" 4 lite steel windows 2 - 64" x 64" 12 lite steel windows 2 - 41" x 50" 3 lite steel windows 2 - 30" x 50" 4 lite steel windows on third floor This Contract pertains to the general restoration of steel windows in the Wauchula Historic Auditorium located at 225 E Main St, Wauchula, FL 33873. The existing windows have long served this heritage building and efforts are being made to restore rather than replace them wherever possible. However, replacement will be considered in cases where restoration proves infeasible. The project's primary objective is to maintain budgetary restrictions while ensuring the longevity and functionality of the windows. The following outline provides a summary of the general project in terms of each discipline and is not an exhaustive description of all the work necessary for full performance and completion per the contract documents. The specific work involved in this restoration initiative is as follows: In line with the set budget, a careful cost analysis is recommended to prevent surpassing the designated funds. Two bids are suggested to accommodate these budgetary constraints. The base bid should encompass all impact windows, which could be an appropriate replacement for windows that cannot be restored. Furthermore, a unit cost for window restoration should be included, underlining the preference for restoration where it's feasible. Option 1.1 aims to repair all windows, preserving the building's historical integrity. Option 2.1 proposes to replace all windows if necessary. Lastly, Option 3.1 involves repairing and reinforcing all windows to increase their durability while maintaining their original character. Bid bond in the amount of 100% of the Total Base Bid. Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of 100% of the Total Base Bid or documentation that the company has the ability to obtain required bonds. the project is estimated to cost around $250,000.
