The Work of this Contract, consists of the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials for removals, upgrades, and modifications to various areas and systems of the Yard and Harvey Shop Building. The Work of this Contract, designated M1-125 Hillcrest Streetcar Maintenance and Storage Facility consists, in general terms, of the supply of all labour, equipment, and materials for removals, upgrades, and modifications to various areas and systems of the Yard and Harvey Shop Building: Yard: Replacement of the existing Yard tracks, rails, and special trackwork for Streetcars storage tracks within the Yard, brake test area, loops, runaround track, track control and signals together with other exterior work such as, retaining wall, installation, and connection to existing storm water collection and sanitary systems, fire mains and watermains valves, pipes and water chamber Overhead Contact System (OCS) poles and pole foundations, electrical duct banks and electrical pull chambers, track lubricator systems, Yard grading and resurfacing, DC traction power upgrades and negative return system, removal of existing fuelling station Harvey Shop Building: New high level platforms on tracks 5 and 6 complete with DC isolation switches and kirk-key systems, new sand silo and sand delivery system on tracks 5 and 6, complete with all associated additional equipment, air compressors, air dryers, piping and conduits, new windshield washer fluid storage and dispensing system on tracks 5 and 6, upgrade of HVAC system for tracks 5 and 6, new State-of-Good Repair areas by extending pits of tracks 7 and 34, interior track rail partial replacement on tracks 7, 8, 33, and 34, removal of the existing jib cranes between tracks 5 and 6, removal of existing transfer way table equipment and transfer way pit infill, relocation of existing Eurovac units, modification of interior Carhouse OCS conductor structural supports, coverboards and other general modifications Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
