The Metropolitan District (the "MDC" or "District") is seeking to obtain formal bids from qualified contractors for the restoration to building envelope systems at 231 Brainard Road in Hartford, CT. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required and perform the Work which includes the application of elastomeric and cementitious coatings including surface cleaning and preparation; roof edge and accessory sealant joint installation; metal railing painting and sealant fillet installation; CMU mortar joint repointing; crack repair of concrete and CMU, including routing and sealing of cracks; removal and replacement/installation of both new and existing CMU vertical sealant control joint; concrete spall repair at base of metal railings concrete; concrete/rebar corrosion repair; concrete epoxy crack injection; and removal and replacement of punched window reinforced CMU bond beam headers, including header flashing and associated interior finish work. The bids must be prepared in strict accordance with the scope of services. Owner Rights: The MDC reserves the right to confer with any bidder or all bidders, to waive any informalities, irregularities or omissions in bids received and/or afford any bidder an opportunity to remedy an informality or irregularity if in the sole opinion of the MDC it is in its best interest, so long as it does not provide a competitive advantage to a bidder. The MDC reserves the right to reject any one or more bids, with or without notice. The MDC's right to reject a bid shall not be limited to the specific reasons mentioned herein.
