Site work for a water / sewer project in Hartford, Connecticut. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Work shall consist of all labor, equipment, fees, permits, and other related costs necessary to provide for the replacement of existing water mains along with support equipment and accessories as shown and specified on the following streets: Phase 1-Farmington Avenue between South Marshall/Marshall Street and Laurel Street, Laurel Street, Marshall Street, South Marshall Street, Case Street, and Hawthorn Street from South Marshall Street to Imlay Street. Phase 2 -Sherman Street, Lorraine Street, Dennison Street, Frederick Street and Owen Street. The Bidders are directed to Section 01010 Summary of Work for specific details. The Work shall be located in the City of Hartford, in the State of Connecticut as shown on the Bidding Documents. Prospective Bidders must register with the designated website, once registered, Prospective Bidders can download the Bidding Documents. The designated website will be updated periodically with Addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, Addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including Addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at MDC by making an appointment with the District Clerk's Office at 860.278.7850, Ext. 3221. Each Bid shall be submitted in strict accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 10 percent of the Bid. Bidders on this work are required to comply with 40 CFR Part 33.240 of the United States Environmental Protection Agency's policy on the increased utilization of Minority Business Enterprise's (MBE's) and Women Business Enterprise's (WBE's).
