County Land Resources and Parks Department is seeking proposals from qualified consultants to develop a strategic and forward looking updated County Comprehensive Plan, pursuant to Wisconsin Statutes, Chapter 66. This project is being supported, in whole or in part, by federal award number RT84E76DK1Z1 awarded to the County of by the U.S. Department of the Treasury. County is seeking a consulting firm to develop the framework process for a complete Comprehensive Plan Update pursuant to Chapter 66, Wisconsin Statutes. The selected firm will lead and coordinate with County Land Resources and Parks staff to implement this process. The ideal planning firm should include a strong visioning process to identify key issues and goals of the County, as well as a thorough analysis of existing conditions and trends upon which sound development policies and new initiatives can be based. End result should be a plan that meets the requirement of Wisconsin Statutes for comprehensive plans, but also addresses the specific and unique needs and desires of County and provides clear strategies and actions to achieve them. The Comprehensive Plan must use a 20-30 year planning period and incorporate (at minimum) all the following elements as required by Wisconsin Statutes into the update.
