The project consists of extending the existing fire sprinkler system, miscellaneous roof penetrations, new roof gutters and downspouts, restrooms, water service line and a fire alarm system. Alternates include masonry repairs / masonry pointing, window replacement, rebuilding exterior north wall, new lintels, new elevator shaft, elevator cab and components. This project is federally funded through the Community Development Block Grant Program, all bidders agree to all specifications, all reference rules, laws and requirements Bid Security of 5% will be required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. 2. Bonds will be required in accordance with the Supplementary Conditions. 2. This building is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. All work must comply with the Secretary of Interior's Standards for Rehabilitation as reviewed by the Kansas State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO).
