Demolition, site work, renovation and addition to a municipal facility in Niles, Michigan. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; municipal facility; for the renovation of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.

This Project consists of proposed renovations to the existing 4,803 SF first-floor level and a 2,747 SF addition to the West side of the Township Hall building. The completed Project will house Township staff and will feature a new public service area, a renovated Council Meeting Room, drive-thru drop boxes located at the Southeast corner of the building, and a new exterior entry stair system into the existing basement. The existing decommissioned fire station located on the West side of the site will be demolished (not part of this Project) to make room for the redesigned parking lot, giving the Township more parking while preserving access to the existing DPW garage. Other site enhancements include the addition of planted areas within the parking area and around the exterior of the building, new lighted monument signs, and new sidewalks. Several existing mature trees will be preserved. The addition will consist of wood-framed exterior and interior walls, with exterior materials consisting of metal board and batten, flush metal reveal panels, and split-face CMU veneer. The existing roof will be removed and reroofed with new standing seam metal roofing to match the building's additional roof system. Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid amount. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. Bidders' Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders' questions received up to two (2) business days prior to conference.
