This project consists of the Contractor providing all labor, equipment, materials, supplies, insurance, etc., necessary to resurface the roads and parking lot at the Madonna Forestry Office/Shop at 3919 Madonna Rd. It is understood that the bid price will be firm for a time period of ninety (90) calendar days from the bid opening date and that if the undersigned be notified of acceptance of this bid within this time period, the firm shall execute a contract for the above stated compensation and shall complete the work within 90 calendar days from the date of Notice to Proceed and agrees that if the work is not completed within the time period specified, the Contractor will be liable for Liquidated Damages of $250.00 per calendar day as specified in the "General Conditions. The Contractor agrees that the price will be firm for a time period of ninety (90) calendar days from the bid opening date to execution of the contract by the State. The work shall be completed within 90 calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. If the work is not completed within the time period specified, the contractor will be liable for liquidated damages of $250.00 per calendar day as specified in the “General Conditions”. Jarrettsville, MD 21084 in Harford County. 1. The proposed project shall include, but is not limited to the following: a. Conduct a proof roll in the presence of the DNR Project Manager, the areas that are to be paved. b. Cut a 12” slot in the existing asphalt paving and install 80 linear feet of slope grate/trench drain in front of the Shop area. To include 6” of new concrete to be installed at the asphalt side of the drain. Install expansion joints and install according to the manufacturers instructions. Ensure positive drainage to discharge point. i. Cut a 30 linear foot, 6” slot for the non-grated, solid section of slope trench drain in the concrete in front of the fuel tanks and install drain according to the manufacturers instructions, including expansion joint installation. Ensure positive drainage to discharge point. ii. Excavate and install 10 linear feet of solid 4” PVC to discharge to point labeled on Drawing S.1. Connect PVC to slope drain according to the manufacturers instructions. Ensure positive drainage. c. Patch existing pavement as directed by the DNR Project Manager.
