Vendors will provide temporary traffic control services generally consisting of the following: Traffic zone setup; Work Zone flagging (day or night shift); Lane closures; Road closures; Vehicle, bicycle, and pedestrian detours; Special events (e.g. parades, civic functions, etc.); and Unscheduled Events (Emergent or After Hours). Vendors must be available 24/7 and available to respond to an emergent event request within 2 hours with staff on site to secure the area. In order to provide these services, Traffic Control Services Vendors may be asked to provide various options of personnel and equipment to include but not limited to the following: Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS), certified flaggers, traffic control work trucks, traffic devices and signs, vehicle variable message boards. Response area could include the City of Seattle limits and Outside of the City limits to include Skagit, Diablo, Ross, or Boundary Dams, Cedar River Watershed, and Tolt River Watershed.) The City of Seattle recognizes the critical importance of maintaining safety and efficiency in its public right of way. This requires a comprehensive approach to Traffic Control. With a continually growing urban landscape and consistent demand for infrastructure improvements, the City of Seattle intends to solicit bids from vendors who can offer a wide range of traffic control services tailored to meet the city's needs. This includes expertise in traffic zone setup, work zone flagging, lane and road closures, providing uniformed police officers for special events and emergencies, and the implementation of detours for vehicles, bicycles, and pedestrians. Additionally, the City intends to solicit bids with Vendors that are experienced with creating traffic control plans. Comprehensive traffic control plans are essential for managing traffic effectively, reducing disruptions, optimizing traffic flow, and enhancing safety on public roads. This contract shall be for one-year with four (4) one-year extensions allowed at the option of the City. This contract is subject to prevailing wage and will require Vendor compliance to prevailing wage requirements (see terms and conditions Attachment 2). The Vendor may provide a notice to not extend but must provide such notice at least 45 days prior to the annual renewal date. The City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids with no penalty. The City also has the right to waive immaterial defects and minor irregularities in any submitted Bid. Question Deadline 07/12/2024 at 5:00 PM PT Submit questions to the Buyer. The City strongly prefers that vendors use the City's Procurement Portal at Online to submit questions. Failure to request clarification of any inadequacy, omission, or conflict will not relieve Vendor of any responsibilities herein or in any subsequent contract. The Vendor is responsible to assure they received responses to the questions if issued.
