General Services is seeking a highly qualified Architectural Firm to serve as the County's Bridging Architect and Construction Manager for the County's Rosamond Sheriff's Sub-Station Project in Rosamond CA. This project will serve as an office location for the Rosamond Sheriff Department staff and management. The County of Kern ("County") is seeking a highly qualified Architectural Firm to serve as the County's Bridging Architect and Construction Manager for the County's Rosamond Sheriff's Sub-Station Project in Rosamond, CA. (the "Project"). County must construct a Sheriff's Sub-Station to enable conformance with operational, fire and life safety, and standards as contained in Title 24, California Code of Regulations ("CCR") and other applicable standards, regulations, ordinances and/or statutes as outlined in Exhibit A. This project will serve as an office location for the Rosamond Sheriff's Department staff and management. The project will be located in Rosamond, CA, adjacent to the (E) Rosamond Fire Station located at 3219 35th Street West, APN #472-080-19. The building design is a single-story single-use office building comprising of public lobby, reception room, four (4) offices, large open room with module workstations, large conference room, break room, property storage room, men's and Women's restroom/shower rooms and additional supporting rooms. Refer to the schematic design floor plan for additional information. The design shall incorporate modern design concepts and equipment that provide connectivity to nature (natural light, window views, and drought tolerant landscaping), and provide the safe and secure environment for staff and public. The design shall promote a residential ambiance utilizing wood framed construction and stucco exterior finish similar to the adjacent Rosamond Fire Station 15. The total cost of the Sheriff's Sub-Station design and construction must be less than $7,700,000 (Seven million seven hundred thousand dollars) including all costs required to provide permanently affixed, built-in furniture, design fees, and design and construction contingencies. The Rosamond Sheriff's Sub-Station will consist of components necessary to provide a safe and secure environment. The Rosamond Sheriff's Sub-Station building will be approximately 5,250 square feet as shown in the provided schematic floor plan. The proposed project site is located at 3219 35th Street West, Rosamond, CA.
